Day 1
Upon our arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, we will be met by a Tailor Made Tours representative.  Enjoy a festive welcome including flowers and a refreshments table.  Transfer to our hotel in Tel Aviv.
Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 2
In the morning, we visit Jaffa, the oldest port city in the world.  It was here that the Prophet Jonah boarded his ill-fated journey when escaping from God.  We see the house of Simon The Tanner and the magnificent view over modern Tel Aviv.  Continue along the Mediterranean to Caesarea.  This was once the Roman capital of the country and it was here that the apostle Paul was imprisoned for two years.  We will see the aqueduct, hippodrome and theater.  On to Mount Carmel, where we visit Muhraka, the traditional site where Elijah defeated the false prophets of Baal.  Our next stop is Megiddo.  This important town was a crossroads for millennia and was fought over many times.  In the book of revelations, it is known as Armageddon – site of the final battle between the forces of good and evil.  Archeologists found here over twenty layers of habitation.  We see the impressive ruins including King Solomon’s stables and the underground water system.
Overnight in a Kibbutz Hotel on the shores of The Sea of Galilee.
Day 3
We start our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.  The magnificent landscape and calm water are truly inspiring.  We visit Capernaum, the Town of Jesus.  Here we see the first century CE synagogue and the House of Peter.  On to Tabgha, site of the miracle of The Multiplication of Fish and Loaves of Bread.  Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on The Mountain.  We drive to Hazor, one of the major Canaanite cities conquered by Joshua and then rebuilt by King Solomon.  Ascend the Golan Heights where we visit Caesarea Philippi at the foot of Mount Hermon.  According to tradition, this is the site of The Transfiguration.  On to Mount Bental where we visit the old military bunker and gaze into Syria.  Descend into the eastern side of The Sea of Galilee where we visit Kursi.  It was here that Jesus cast out the demons of the Man of Gadara.  We end the day at Yardenit, the baptismal site on the River Jordan.

Day 4
In the morning, we visit the museum at Kibbutz Ginosar.  Here we see the first century boat that was excavated out of the mud of the lake.  This boat is from the time of Jesus, and may have been used by one of His followers.  On to Cana of Galilee, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water into wine at the village wedding.  Continue to Nazareth, boyhood home of Jesus.  We visit Mary’s Well and The Church of Joseph, built over the house of Joseph and Mary.  On to The Basilica of Annunciation where Mary received the word of God from the Angel Gabriel.  This modern church was built over the actual cave of Mary and on over the ruins of many earlier churches.  Drive to Beit Shean in the Jordan Valley.  This was once an important Roman center of commerce and part of the Decapolis union of Roman cities.  It was destroyed in a massive earthquake.  Driving south along the Jordan Valley, we pass through Jericho and arrive at The Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth.

Day 5
Early this morning we ascend Masada. 
King Herod as winter palace built this mountaintop fortress.  Later it was used by the Jewish Zealots in their battle against the Romans.  After arriving by cable car to the top, we see the impressive ruins including the palaces, store rooms, bath house and water system.  Continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi.  It was here that the young David ran away from the wrath of King Saul.  On to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found by a Bedouin shepherd boy.  We visit the ancient site and understand the lifestyle of the community who wrote the scrolls.  Drive to Jerusalem, where upon entry we participate in a special welcome ceremony and “Sheheyanu” blessing at the Hass Promenade.

Day 6
Our first stop today is the promenade at the top of The Mount of Olives.  Here we enjoy the magnificent view over the entire city before descending to The Valley of Kidron to visit Gethsemane and The Church of All Nations.  Continue to Mount Zion where we visit the Room of The Last Supper and The Tomb of King David.  We enter the Old City through The Zion Gate and walk along the alleys of the Jewish Quarter to The Cardo.  This was the main commercial street in Roman times, and now it is full of shops and galleries.  Visit The Western Wall, the holiest place for Judaism.  On to The Davidson Center, where we see the ruins of the Southern Wall and the steps that once led to the temple.  On to The Western Wall Tunnels, where we see the huge stones used to build the temple mount and other archeological wonders.  We walk along the Via Dolorosa – The Way of The Cross.  Here we follow the fourteen stations along the route that Jesus took.  We arrive at the Church of The Holy Sepulcher, according to some tradition the place where Jesus was crucified and buried.
Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 7
This morning we will explore the new city of Jerusalem.  We will pass the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building and see the giant Menorah symbol in front. On to Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Holocaust.  Continue to The Israel Museum where we visit the Shrine of The Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed.  We also see the model of Jerusalem as it appeared in the time of Jesus.  In the afternoon, we drive to Bethlehem and visit The Church of The Nativity, Milk Grotto and Shepherd’s Fields. 
Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 8
Today we will drive through the Ellah Valley to Neot Kedumim.  Ellah Valley was the scene of the battle between the Philistines and the Israelites and where David slough Goliath.  At Neot Kedumim, we enjoy the Biblical landscape preserve where the natural treasures of ancient Israel are evident.  Continue to Mini Israel where hundreds of models of buildings and landscapes in Israel are displayed.  Evening departure from Ben Gurion International Airport.
